So it begins. Again.
I’m setting off on another little trip this Wednesday. This time, I set my sights on Brussels. I won a Cours de Perfectionnement de Français at the Université Libre de Bruxelle. From what I understand, it’s a French course with some cultural focuses. Since I’ve got some spare time, I’ll be taking a slight trip around France and Germany before the classes start. Is it obvious I don’t know what I’m getting into? Regardless, the predictions for this trip are for it to be a million times better than my trip to London (more on that later).
There has, however, already been a slight mishap. I left Moncton at 5:20pm on Monday to get to Drummondville, Quebec by 6am on Tuesday morning, that way I could hang out with my family in Quebec and get a ride to the airport on Wednesday night. After a couple screw ups, courtesy of VIA Rail, I got in at 9:30am on Tuesday morning. That’s right; I got in 3 and a half hours late. Understandably, my drive didn’t stick around to wait for me since she was working, so my grandpa had to come to come get me at around 10am. He lives about an hour and half away. Granted, it all worked out in the end, but it certainly has a bad omen feel to it. Or maybe it’s a positive thing; it gets all the bad luck out of the way early in the trip. Lets hope for the latter.
I’ll hopefully be in France on Thursday.
