For the next two weeks I’m on my own for the English class content. We’re past exams and we’ve completed the book. That means I need to make up content that’ll be suitable for my classes, making them learn something while letting them relax a bit before another semester.
To do this, I decided to watch Wallace and Gromit: A Close Shave with them. I’m splitting it in two and I’ve made four work sheets. Two per grade, one for high level and one for lower level.
I’ve also synchronized the subtitles I found to the version of the video I have, that way they can hopefully read along and understand some of the dialogue.
I really wish this works well. I’ll post comments and all the documents late.
The only bad thing is that I’ll have to watch the movie 15 times per week. Good thing it’s an amazing film…
What the hell is Wallace and Gromit?
Whatever it is, it could be a lot worse. I had to substitute today. The teacher who was sick left no lesson plan. In a 3-hour morning kindergarten class, I watched kids run amok for about 1 hour while my teaching partner had them individually practice Santa Claus is Coming to Town outside.
