Here I am. It’s Sunday morning and I’m going nuts. I would have liked to sleep in today, but that’s impossible. I’m surrounded by noise.
From across the street, I can hear the construction crew work on the building. They apparently start working at 8am on Sundays. So that means I can hear everything from hammering, to sawing metal, to grinders. The building is in front of my windows, so if I want fresh air, the sounds become louder.
Next to me, I can hear the car garage. These guys work non-stop. I always hear their pneumatic bolt gun and their super high-pitch car polishers to their pressure washer. Sunday morning is no exception.
The newest one comes from inside my building. I live on the third floor and below me, they started building a new shop. I’m not sure what it will be, but from the looks of it, it is a large room segmented into smaller rooms. I hope it’s a quiet meditation center, but it’ll probably end up being a DVD bang; a room where people watch movies in private little rooms at crazy high volumes.
And don’t forget the military jets doing low fly-bys just above my house!
Also, if you’re wondering, I still have no roof in my hallway…
In all honesty though, it’s not that bad. I’m usually at work all day and I get up before it all starts, so I don’t notice it. I just hate being woken up by loud continuous sounds. It (obviously) puts me in a bad mood.
