As you may recall, a few weeks ago, I made a Korean friend in my area. She said hi to me in the bus. Anyway, ever since, I’ve been seeing her irregularly on the bus in the mornings and we’ve been having little chats. Last week, I decided to buy a guitar while in Korea. I like playing outside during summer time and maybe I can meet some people by hanging out and playing outside. Who knows. So I tried to find a guitar shop where they’d have a cheap used guitar, just somethin’ to get the blues out, you know? Turns out the only store I found that one day I looked closed at 7 and by the time I found it, it was 7:05. Bummer.
On the bus the next morning, I saw my friend. I asked her if she knew where I could find a guitar shop in the area. As I said that, her face lit up. As it happens, she won a guitar on a radio contest and didn’t want it! WOA!
That night, when she got back from work, we met and she brought the guitar. I asked her how much she wanted and she said since she won it, she felt bad asking for money! WAZAO! I felt bad taking it from her. Luckly, we worked something out and I don’t feel as bad for taking it, not to say I don’t feel extremely humbled and lucky!
Anyway, that blew my mind. Some people are so generous it’s amazing.
