I started this blog in 2008 when I was fresh out of Bishop’s University with a bachelor’s in Neuroscience and I had no idea what I wanted to do. This blog was the chronicle of me looking for some sense of direction, a journey that brought me to Korea for a year, allowed me to travel South-East Asia for four months, and finally had me work in Charlottetown for four months.
Then my life took an unexpected turn when I was offered an opportunity to do a master’s in Montreal. That master’s turned into a Ph.D.
Now, six years after first moving to Montreal, I’m ready to leave the comfort of academia and challenge myself in this new chapter of my life. Whether you find yourself in the same shoes and want some inspiration to take a leap beyond academia, or you’re curious to see what I’m up to, thank you being with me on this journey! It should be interesting!
